Ecostores Nebraska is a retail warehouse devoted to selling second use building,construction, and remodling material (plus furniture and appliances) and thus keeping good usable items out of the landfill and the larger waste stream. Please see our inventory page for a list of items we often have in stock.

We are a 501 3c non profit under the umbrella of the Josyln Castle Institute in Omaha and can thus accept tax deductable donations from homeowners, landlords, and construction companies. Our mission is to provide a chance for good material to be used a second time, to save homeowners and landlords some money, and to provide a place where materials can be donated rather than taken to the dump.

In the very near future, we plan on offering classes on home repair and upkeep, and how to make use of our used materials. A bit further into the future, we hope to provide our own deconstruction team that will be able to do salvage work and send 60 to 90 percent of any structure to our warehouse for resale. Steve Liechti is comanager at Ecostores Nebraska focusing on building and deconstruction. He has over thirty years experience managing nonprofit organizations. He owns rental property and has been a handworker since boyhood farm days. He is married with five children. He has lived in Lincoln since 1990.
